Early Intervention Services

Early intervention services can work with your family to:

• Coordinate the services your child and family need.

​

• Provide therapy and service planning to further develop your child’s skills and abilities.

​

• Build and strengthen your skills and knowledge to respond to the needs of your child.

​

• Support your child’s inclusion into everyday environments.

​

• Help to build a team around your child.

​​

    We understand that YOU are the          expert on your child.

​

• All goals, activities, and services are based on your concerns and input.

​

• You don’t have to go anywhere.

​

• We come right to your home to provide services.

​

• We can also provide services anywhere else a child would normally go - daycare, library, park, etc.

​

Education-based:

​

• We are teachers and therapists, and the IFSP is an education record (not medical).

​

• The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a federal law that mandates all states must provide children with disabilities free and appropriate education. This is the same law that funds Special Education in the school district.
